Katrín Halldóra Sigurðardóttir
Katrin Halldora graduated as an actress from Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2015. She has completed a diploma course at the Complete Vocal Institute in Denmark and also took courses in jazz and rock at FÍH Music School. Since graduating in 2015 she has been working both at the National Theatre of Iceland and Reykjavik City Theatre, where has taken part in multiple productions. Katrin is best known for her portrayal of Elly in the eponymous musical, but she won the Gríma award for “Singer of the Year” for the role.
She has recceived numerous nominations for her work, but in 2018 she won the Edda award along with the New Years satire special writing team.
She has acted in films and television, including Trapped 2. She is also one of the founders and a member of the improv group Improv Ísland - she has performed with them over the years and is also an improv teacher in their workshops.
Katrin works as a singer alongside with her acting career, she has released two solo albums and held numerous concerts. She also does audiobook narration, she does script and sketch writing, she hosts events and more.
