Guðmundur Einar
Guðmundur Einar, also known as Geinar, is a comedian, actor, director, and multidisciplinary artist. He has earned a great reputation in comedy as one of the key members of Improv Iceland, in addition to directing the TV show Kanarí on RÚV – a show in which he also acts, writes, and edits. Recently, he has established himself as one of the most promising stand-up comedians in the country.
Other comedy projects Guðmundur has been involved in include segments for Berglindar Festival on Vikan with Gísli Marteinn, sketches with Saga Garðarsdóttir on the TV show Straumar on RÚV, music videos for Iceland Music News in collaboration with the band Hatari, the TV shows Meikar ekki sens and much more.
Guðmundur graduated with a BA degree in philosophy from the University of Iceland and also studied fine arts at the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts and the Iceland Academy of the Arts, as well as filmmaking at the European Film College in Denmark.
