Two Non Blondes

Two Non Blondes are Lóa Hjálmtýsdóttir, a designer and Zinger Tower Burger from FM Belfast, and Sandra Barilli, a producer and Happy Meal from the music and film industry.

Their last karaoke session was so legendary that it made it into the international press!

Karaoke with Two Non Blondes is different in that the lyrics screen is in front of the singer, not projected onto a screen behind them. As a result, the audience is looking at the singer more than following the lyrics on a screen behind them. You can choose any song available on YouTube, and the karaoke is controlled from there. There’s a sea of songs (though not many Icelandic ones, which is something the Icelandic music community needs to address urgently).

We’ll also decorate a ton in FM Belfast-style, with glitter curtains and everything, so it’s very photogenic too.

What we need is a sound system and a small mixer, two microphones for the singers. We have our own karaoke screen, which we’ve borrowed from Röntgen, but we’d just create our own for this gig as well.
