Lúkas Emil Johansen
From a young age, Lúkas Emil developed a deep fascination with the art of acting. At just 8 years old, he auditioned for his first role and landed a part in the play Óvitar at the National Theatre of Iceland. Performing on Iceland's most prominent stage cemented his passion and determination to pursue a career in acting. Now, with over 12 years of experience in the Icelandic entertainment industry, Lúkas has contributed to the craft in many forms. He has taken on leading roles in blockbuster films, portrayed supporting characters in various television series, and appeared in a couple of National Theatre stage productions. His diverse portfolio also includes extensive work in commercials, voice acting, and hosting Iceland’s main youth television program. Lúkas has continually developed his skills through
a range of acting courses, both in Reykjavík through various local programs, and internationally at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.
Lúkas has brought a variety of roles to life in collaboration with many of Iceland’s most prestigious production companies, including Sagafilm, Glassriver, and Truenorth. His work also extends to international platforms, with credits involving Netflix and Film Schools of New York.
Currently, Lúkas is filming for his third feature length film, set to premiere next year, as well as rehearsing for stage productions of independent theatre groups.
