Steiney Skúladóttir
Steiney is a seasoned television personality and performer, with formal training in improvisation from The Upright Citizens Brigade and The Groundlings in Los Angeles. She has garnered recognition in the entertainment industry, winning the prestigious Edda Prize for the TV show Framapot and earning a nomination for “TV Host of the Year” for her work on Heilabrot.
Steiney’s passion for acting began at the age of six, leading to a diverse career that includes roles in films, television shows, commercials, and stage productions. She is a key member of the comedy group Kanarí, known for writing and performing sketches for both television and live audiences. Additionally, she was a prominent part of the popular weekly TV show Hraðfréttir for two years.
Beyond television, Steiney co-hosts the summer radio show Hljóðvegur 1 on Rás 2 (the national radio station) with Jóhann Alfreð Kristinsson. She is also a member of the rap group Daughters of Reykjavík, which has gained significant attention across Europe.
With a decade of experience in event management, Steiney has organized and hosted events for some of Iceland’s largest companies, tailoring programs to fit each occasion. Her events often feature short skits, quizzes, and interactive games, and she can host either solo or alongside others.
Steiney has also been a host for many of Iceland’s most significant television events.
